Description
Summary
The automatic wire rope melting & cutting machine is used to cut the steel wire rope into right size by hot melting. The input AC power will be transfer into heavy current with low voltage, the steel wire rope clamped between two copper mold will be melted to cut off quickly, and the cutting end will be gathered well without divergent. Such machine is widely used for control cable production, such as brake cable, clutch cable, throttle wire, etc.
Configuration and performance
1. Wire rope feeding device
The wire rope feeding device was driven by servo motor and servo controller. The feeding process as follow:
a) Slow to fast speed pre-feeding at beginning
b) Slow speed feeding when length is close to limit.
c) Fixed the feeding length by encoder
2. Wire rope melting & cutting device
a) The device includes solid-type voltage adjustment, transformer, manual voltage adjustment, etc.
b) The melting mold sets include four pieces of molds, each two pcs work as one set. When mold clamp the wire rope with power on, the wire rope will melted to cut off because of the lower melting point compare to copper mold.
3. Unloading system
The unloading system includes the turnable channel, pneumatic turnover device and the hopper, the material is from the high quality stainless steel.
4. Control system
The wire rope cutting machine is controlled by Omron PLC, and the cutting length, cutting quantity can be set by touch screen with servo motor and encoder. Also have the emergency stop and alarm system for counting, material finish and fault, etc.
